Take the Castle!

Take the Castle! is a simple strategy tower defense game where the objective to capture all of the enemy castle while preventing yours from being captured. You can capture enemy castle by sending troops from your castles' garrison but be careful because troops garrison in your castle is also its health. Each castle can garrison some amount of troops, if the castle is in full capacity then it will start to upgrade. Once the upgrade is finished the castle will level up and expand its capacity.

CSUI Individual Game Jam 2021

This game is made as submission for the individual game jam assignment of the Game Development Class 2021 of CSUI Universitas Indonesia. It is made with three diversifiers as specified by the assignment:

Mr. Coal - Players can take objects from other entities
MANS NOT HOT - Implement a feature where players need to think mathematically
Mada Dame Yo - Players have to wait for a certain time

Controls

Use left mouse click to select castles you want to attack with
Left mouse click again on enemy castle to send troops to attack or right mouse click on friendly castles to fortify

The objective of the game is to capture all enemy castles and you lose if all of your castles are taken. Each castle regenerates troops and can a hold maximum of certain amount according to its level. Castles have 4 levels each with increasing capacity. When a castle is at max capacity it will start to upgrade, when it finishes upgrades it levels up and expands its capacity. You can speed up the upgrading process by sending troops from friendly. By doing this you fill a castle with troops from other castles, when a castle goes over capacity the upgrade process becomes even faster while decreasing the amount of troops over the limit.
